I didn't know John Wayne was an American! Thanks Postcard! And thanks for getting me Baker County, Idaho!

Oxbow (Baker County), Idaho
Gem County, Idaho
I think Idaho needs to prevent a lot less than one escaped campfire. Thanks for the postcard from Gem County, Idaho, Mom and Dad!

Caltsip County, Oregon
Wow, has it really been 6 weeks since my last update? I'm sorry guys, I'll reward you with ~50 postcards.
I've ordered them by sender, not date, so they'll be out of order date-wise, but they'll be generally grouped by region.
Here's the first of many from my parents, this one from Clatsip County, Oregon

10% Mark reached!
Wow, that was a big update. After I sorted through all my postcards, I found there was a huge stack of them that were never updated (from around September 2008). I updated all of them, and got a net gain of 25 counties, bringing me to a total of 315 out of 3141 postcards after the 4 today. That's more than 10%!
It's so great to have so many people willing to think of me on their travels. I want to especially thank Scott in Philly, Frankie, Big Dave, and J. Stephen Conn, all of whom I have never met, but they continually send me postcards every time they travel. Thanks guys!
Of course I can't forget my friends and family, with special thanks to the biggest contributors: my parents, who have contributed to 57 counties! Also thanks to Dan, Drennan, Theresa, and Melissa, and Drew, who went above and beyond the normal "Ok, sure, I'll send you one" response that I expect from friends and family, and continually send me postcards when they travel.
20% is just around the corner :) Keep 'em coming!
Warwick (Kent County), Rhode Island
The last update for the day, this one comes from Warwick Department of Tourism, Culture & Development in Kent County, Rhode Island. 1931 seems like, to me, a fairly new city with respect to New England. Thanks for the postcard!
This round of requests to Rhode Island is doing a lot better than the last one, when I received zero out of five :( So now this brings me up to 40% on Rhode Island. Only 3 more postcards to go!

Providence County, Rhode Island
Here is my first postcard from Providence County, Rhode Island, which brings me up to 20% of the total counties for the state :) This will definitely work, Barbara! Thanks to you and the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce for this lovely postcard.
And to respond, yes it's quite hot down here. Luckily the heat wave is over (we had about a month of 100+ heat indexes and only a single inch of rain). We just had a cold front so the temps are sitting in the low 90s, which is more normal :) But we still need more rain!

Sanford-Springvale (York County), Maine
Here's another response to one of my Maine requests, showcasing attractions of Sanford-Springvale, in York County, Maine. Looks like a beautiful city! Thanks so much to the Sanford Springvale Chamber of Commerce!

Somerset County, Maine
I got back into the swing of sending out some requests, and here is the first to arrive, from the L.C. Bates Museum, which is on the Good Will-Hinkley campus in Somerset County, Maine. That's one fine looking Great Blue Heron :) Thanks for the postcard!

Alamosa County, Colorado
And here is the last postcard from my "missing" stack. This one is from waaaaay back, from when I was sending out requests to counties that start with "A." They even sent it to my old home address. I don't even know how I missed this one! This is from the Alamosa Convention & Visitors Bureau
Unfortunately, since then, I got an Alamosa postcard from J. Stephen Conn. Since I'm counting the "date" as the date I update the blog, I'm going to have to count this one as a duplicate, even though it was sent nearly 2 years before Stephen's card.

Ouray County, Colorado
Two more to go for today! This one is from Karen Avery at the Box Canyon Lodge in Ouray County, Colorado. The mountains look spectacular! I'm guessing this is July fourth :) Again, I apologize for taking so long to get this up!

Atlanta (Clayton County), Georgia
And another Georgia postcard from Big Dave, this time from Atlanta, which is in Fulton County. Even though it took me almost a year to get this postcard up, I still had one from Atlanta prior to this one :( Thanks anyway though! I'd rather get a duplicate postcard than no postcard!
Edit 7/26/09: Apparently I can't read, he sent this from the airport in Clayton County. Thanks Big Dave!

DeKalb County, Geogia.
Here is a very pink postcard from Big Dave, who sends it all the way from DeKalb County, Georgia. Thanks Dave!

Harrison County, Indiana
I bet now you're thinking "sheesh, how many more does he have to go?" Don't worry, I'm almost done! This is another Frankie postcard from Harrison County, Indiana. Thanks Frankie

Indianapolis (Marion County), Indiana
Here's a second postcard from Tindy. Unfortunately I already have Indianapolis :( Thanks anyway for the postcard!

Sharpsburg (Washington County), Maryland
It looks like we have a tie for Sharpsburg, Maryland, both sent on September 13th :) Was the other sender a friend of yours, Scott, or was it just a really weird coincidence that you and her both send postcards from the same place on the same day? :)

Sharpsburg (Washington County), Maryland
Here's a postcard from a new fan, whose name I can't quite read. It looks like N.J. Jen Lya? I'm probably wrong :)
But the good news is that this is not a duplicate postcard. It's from Sharpsburg, Maryland, which is in Washington County, Maryland. Thanks for the postcard!

Butte (Silver Bow County), Montana
Here is a Montana (hard-to-get-state) postcard from my aunt and uncle. The postmark says Butte, which is in Silver Bow County. Thanks guys!
