The next postcard (which may hard to read) depicts the reading of the Declaration of Independence at the Northampton County courthouse steps on July 8, 1776. Nowadays we'd just text it ;) Thanks to the Northampton County Historical & Genealogical Society for this great postcard! For some reason, I sent a request to them thinking they were from Hampshire County, Massachusetts (don't ask me why), but I'm very glad they sent me a postcard despite this mishap :)
