First Postcards (Kind Of) - Acadia Parish, Louisiana

I got in the mail yesterday an envelope with two postcards and a pamphlet from the Acadia Parish Tourist Commission in Louisiana! They call themselves "Cajun Prairie Country" and list cities with claims to fame such as Church Point, LA, both Buggy Captial of the World and Cajun Music Capital of the World, Crowly, LA, Where Life is Rice and Easy, and Rayne, LA, the Frog Captial of the World.

In my first emails I had forgotten to request that the postcard be postmarked, so I don't know what I'm going to do. For now I'll just count it.

Best I can tell from the literature I recieved, the next one from Church Point, LA is a buggy (horse and carriage) festival, and this guy got the "best dressed" award. I think they dress up as scarecrows for the festival:
