Kaiserslautern, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany

I got another German card! Not only that, it's a second card (out of 24 "districts") from Rhineland-Palatinate. This is from another old high school friend whose husband is stationed there. The most interesting thing about this card, to me, is that even though it was mailed from Germany, it has a US postmark and a US stamp on it! I checked the zip code (09227), and it pulled up as an APO :) Zip code collectors, eat your heart out! Kaiserslautern is another urban area district, or the equivalent of our consolidated city-county.

MOst likely it was an American service base person when I was in Germany we could send postal using US stamps from base.

Wonderful blog! I definitely love how it’s easy on my eyes and also the data are well written. I am wondering how I might be notified whenever a new post has been made. I have subscribed to your rss feed which need to do the trick! Have a nice day!
