Independent City of Norfolk, Virginia

This next one comes from my friend Drennan, who was visiting the DC area recently. To answer your question, Drennan, yes, it does help me! Independent cities in Virginia are considered county-equivalents under the eyes of the US census.

This is my first postcard from one of those "independent cities" in Virgina, the first of 39. There were a nice even 40 up until 2001, but then Clifton Forge decided it no longer wanted to be independent and got swallowed back up by Alleghany County.

Thanks as always Drennan!
