Groesbeck (Limestone County), Texas

Here is one sent by my wife from a recent road trip to Fort Worth. This is Fort Parker in a little out-of-the-way county called Limestone County. My wife is commenting on how the wasps have taken over this fort. I didn't see any soldiers there, so that must be the reason why! This fort was recreated in 1933, then renovated in the 60s by the state, then abandoned by the state and picked up by the city of Groesbeck in the 90s. Right now it's not looking so good.

This was also a new county for me to visit, which completes my triangle between DFW, Houston, and Brownsville.
