DeKalb County, Illinois

Here's the final update for this stack, from DeKalb County, Illinois. Thank you so much McGees! I love getting postcards from new fans :) Just like with Stark County, I'm surprised how many DeKalb counties there are. This is one of six DeKalb Counties in America!

Chicago (Cook County), Illinois

Usually Theresa is pretty good about sending me duplicates, so I don't remember if it was my mistake in telling her I didn't have this one when I did, but in any case, here is another card from Chicago (first one here). The Hector that she's referring to is one of our friends that abandoned us from Houston to move out to Chicago >:(

Thanks Theresa!

Chicago (Cook County), Illinois

Here is another Mom's church friend card from Leah Korn. Apparently, she loves Chicago :) This postcard actually came in one of those "my bad" envelopes from the U.S. Post Office, stating that they apologize that my mail was damaged. You may not be able to see from the scan, but the heart is actually cut out and see-through on purpose. When it went through a machine, it tore it in half. At least the USPS had the decency to apologize! Thanks, Leah, for the unique postcard!

Cairo (Alexander County), Illinois

These next three postcards come from a small county in southern Illinois, Alexander County. These postcards are courtesy of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce. Unfortunately, they don't have an active website to link you to. In fact, I had to call and leave a voice message (from a number I got off a third-party site) just to contact them. So far, this is the only county that I've contacted by phone. It took 2 1/2 weeks to get a response, but I'm glad I did! They have some beautiful looking buildings there. Thanks so much!

Quincy (Adams County), Illinois

Here is one from the Quincy Area Convention and Visitor's Bureau in Adams County, Illinois. They invite everyone to come to their annual dogwood festival in May :)
