Clackamas County, Oregon

Here's the last from my parents (from this stack anyway). It says it's from Klackamas County... but that's not a county in Oregon, best I can tell. After a little googling I think they meant Clackamas county :)

Thanks guys! I have another handful of cards that I picked up yesterday that need to be scanned. I might have half of Oregon done by the time I've gone through them all!

Dover (Kent County), Delaware

Here's a third duplicate from Dan, from Kent County, Delaware, making him the leader in duplicates :) I haven't gotten them yet, but he said he sent me one from every county in Delaware. At least he can say he's the only person to send me a postcard from any county in a state ;)

Columbus (Colorado County), Texas

Here's the last of my solo road trip, from Columbus (not Ohio), Texas. This is from Colorado County. If you ever do county seat counting in east Texas, you'll find there are a lot of similarities between them. They all have a courthouse, with a historic square around them. It makes for a really interesting road trip.

This was the cheapest postcard of the trip, at $.25.

La Grange (Fayette County), Texas

Here is a postcard from me, from LaGrange, Texas (of ZZ Top fame) in Fayette County. As usual, I'm a sucker for County Courthouses. This was bought from the Chamber of Commerce there. I was tempted to a postcard of the building that the CoC was housed in, which was also historic, but like I said in the last post, I'm a sucker for county courthouses.

Bastrop County, Texas

Here is the first of three from my trip home from Austin. It's always easier to get postcards on weekdays because all the chambers of commerce are open! I went to the chamber of commerce and asked if they had postcards, and they directed me towards a candle shop across Main Street. 5 minutes before they opened (unbeknownst to me), I walked in. The lady who ran the shop was deeply apologetic (I don't know why), and sold me this postcard.

Jefferson City (Cole County), Missouri

Here's another from Frankie from the Missouri State Capital in Jefferson City, Missouri (Cole County). Thanks again, Frankie! At this rate, I'll have Missouri finished in no time!

Greenfield (Franklin County), Massachusetts

New Haven County, Connecticut

Here's a coastal postcard form the Greater New Haven Convention & Visitors Bureau. I love how historical New England is. I'm definitely going to have come visit sometime!

Loup County, Nebraska

Here is another one of my "10 smallest counties" requests, from Kevin Brown of the Loup County Historical Society. Loup county ranks in 10th smallest at a 2000 population of 712. They didn't send a postcard, but they did send me this lovely fold-out card with a lot of information about the county. Since it's a small county and it's postcard-sized, I'll accept it :) Thanks!

St. Louis City, Missouri

As you can see from the title, this is from the CITY of St. Louis, and it is not a county. Lucky for me, I'm using the United States Census Bureau's list of "counties and county-equivalent areas," so I'm counting it towards my quest. Kirksville (Adair County), Missouri

Things are starting to slow down! This is the first postcard I've gotten in the last week, and it's from the Kirksville Area Chamber of Commerce, whom I sent an email to a month and a half ago. Although I'm partially to blame, I sent them my old address so it took a while for the post office to redirect it to my new address. Nonetheless, I appreciate getting it!
